LGBTQ people have a hard enough time in this country without being weighed down by archaic laws. We are people just like everyone else and deserve to be treated as such.
Currently, same-sex couples cannot be married in every state. This is unfair and demeaning. We also have a hard time when people we know find out, causing us to sometimes lose our jobs or be kicked out of organizations because of it.
It's common sense. Love is love, so it should be equal for everybody.
