Recognize The Male Victims Of Domestic Violence

Recently the President publicly spoke about the horrors of Domestic Violence and the effect it has on the victims of this crime. But, within this speech there was no mention of the Male victims, only the women who suffered at the hands of their tormentors.
The purpose of this petition is in no way to diminish the plight of those women, but to ask the President to publicly speak on behalf of the forgotten victims, the men who have also suffered from this unacceptable crime and for him to ask the agencies who receive government funds to help these victims and use their resources to also help the male victims.
A victim is a victim, regardless of their gender. Male victims should be treated the same and have the same access to these resources and help as their female counterparts.
