Recognize Marijuana's medicinal value. Declassify Marijuana as a Schedule 1 Drug punishable under Mandatory Minimums.

The Government needs to recognize the medicinal value of Marijuana. With this acknowledgement, Marijuana can no longer be classified as a Schedule 1 Drug, and cases for both the use and the selling of Marijuana can no longer be punishable under the Mandatory Minimums Guidelines. Families across America are suffering behind their loved ones being sentenced unfairly for the use and distribution of Marijuana. The majority of the cases are non-violent, yet many of the convicted are serving sentences longer then individuals convicted of murder, rape, and child molestation/abuse. There is no justice in this. The Government needs to right this tremendous wrong. The majority of marijuana users do not develop addiction or loss of control, and it causes less health issues than alcohol and tobacco.
