Recognize the mass killings of 1.5 million Armenians committed by Ottoman Turks in 1915 during World War I as Genocide

On April 24, 1915 Ottoman Turks forced Armenians out of their homes to march through the Syrian desert which resulted in killing 1.5 million Armenians. Similar events targeted Assyrians and Greeks as Genocide by Ottoman Turks during WWI. Obama promised Armenian-Americans in 2008 before his election that he would recognize these events as Genocide. Forty Three (43) US states officially recognized the Genocide, Woodrow Wilson and Ronald Reagan recognized the Genocide, as well as US House Committee on Foreign Affairs, now its Obama's turn to not just recognize the Genocide, but proceed to his promise to the Armenian-Americans. The American people should stop ignoring a tragic historical event and recognize it right away. Ignoring the Genocide is like ignoring the attacks on September 11, 2001
