Recognize May 15 as national police appreciation day.

In 1962 President John F Kennedy issued proclamation that May 15th be recognized as Peace Officer Memorial day when it falls in the national police week. My petition calls for May 15th to be recognized as a national Peace Officer Appreciation day where communities recognize the sacrifices made by their fellow citizens who put on the uniform and badge. This petition would ask the federal government to recognize it as a full federal holiday such as Veterans Day or Martin Luther King Day
