Many shootings that occur happen to be in places that are supposed to be "Gun Free Zones". Murder is illegal but criminals still commit that crime too. So why would they follow a "Gun Free Zone" law. The only people that will follow the law are law abiding citizens who are then left defenseless. Chicago is a good example of restricting law abiding citizens from carrying firearms, though hundreds were murdered from firearms last year. These zones do not work.
