No child left behind is a noble proposition, but it fails to recognize that all children are different, some are more able than others. When NO Child can be left behind and the school districts are punished, the only way for the district to reach the standardized test limits is to teach the test. This handicaps and minimizes the creative capabilities of both the teachers and students. A better solution for the future of America is a proposition that 20% Shall Fail. Continue raising the standards each year, allowing the brightest to be challenged and to lead our country to the next century. Do not abandon those who do not rise to the top, our economy is a service based economy needing workers with basic skills of reading, writing and mathematics, but not needing college level skills.
