On October 29, 2012, Hurricane Sandy battered the New Jersey in a way that most residents (and even those who don't live here) will never forget. It tore up our beaches, our boardwalks, our homes, and our businesses. It cast a roller coaster into the ocean and left us in the dark for weeks. Our lives were changed, but we came out stronger. New Jersey was torn and broken, but it's residents came together, forming a bind stronger than ever. We, the beach goers and home owners and surfers and skateboarders and fishermen and sailors ask of you this: make October 29 a day that commemorates the strength that came out of Hurricane Sandy.
