As most of us witnessed online, Officer Lawrence DePrimo spent a considerable amount of money helping a shoeless man on the streets of New York. This officer's act of generosity is something all Americans should strive to emulate. By recognizing this officer's act of generosity, the President will also be praising all Americans who have committed similar acts throughout our country.
By far, random acts of American generosity are far more worthy of recognition than that of Led Zeppelin's music and Dustan Hoffman's acting.
We ask the President to declare that there is no greater American attribute than that of selfless generosity in order to encourage all Americans to try to help others in these times of need.
