We demand the US Government to respect the will of the people of Puerto Rico and the democratic process that was carried out in our last Plebiscite regarding our current status as a colony.
We urge the US Government to
1) Recognize that an overwhelming majority of Puertoricans voted against our current status as a colony (having been illegally invaded and occupied by the US for over 100 years)
2) Recognize the fact that the current status is both invalid in terms of international law and the Charter of the United Nations and because a majority voted against it, the ELA or "Commonwealth" option can not be included in the next plebiscite.
3) The only 3 options that should be included in the next plebiscite should be: 1. Independence 2. Free Association 3. Statehood
