Take the advice of another revered U.S. president, Jimmy Carter. Recognize the state of Palestine! I have long been reluctant to speak out on this for fear of being thought anti-Semitic, although nothing could be further from the truth. The festering Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a huge obstacle to world peace, and the continued expansion of settlements on Palestinian land is a great recruiting tool for terrorists.
It seems as if the current right-wing Israeli government would like nothing better than to exterminate the Palestinians if they could get away with it, but we know how well that kind of “final solution” works.
I fervently hope you will maintain your current momentum of bold, righteous actions in these next three weeks and follow Carter’s advice, for the sake of all of us.
