True PAS is a very nasty situation in which one parent cuts off contact between the child and the other parent by denying visitation and creating dislike or even hate for the other parent. This usually includes lies about the other parent and punishing the child for loving the other parent.
I have witnessed an extreme case where the mother took the child and left. Visitation was cut off and the child hidden. Now the child hates his father because he was told the father abandoned the child. This child has been told his father is a criminal and a drug addict and only wants to hurt him and get out of child support. The child has been told lies about the father's past and has been taught to hate is paternal grandparents.
Currently no one is willing to help as it is not considered to be abuse.
