Recognize persecution of any religion as a hate crime and ignore requests to abolish the first amendment.

There are at least 5 petitions on this website involving the limiting of religious rights and persecution of religious organizations for expressing their beliefs. One petition even promotes the idea of abolishing the first amendment. Others include defining religious organizations as hate groups for having differing views. We encourage the Obama administration to begin deleting petitions like this and ignoring them, as well as reprimanding the people who create and sign these petitions.
Further more on the legislative level I would encourage this administration to amend federal hate crime laws to cover religious congregations and organizations as well so actions and comments like this can be aptly recognized by the law for what they are, hate crimes against people with a differing beliefs.
