In the year 1776, the 13 colonies declared their independence from the nation of Great Britain. In 1967, the Principality of Sealand, located on an old British sea fort in international waters, outside of the UK's territorial waters, rose up with a similar dream. Due to its size and quirkiness, however, the principality has not been able to garner much international recognition and is still considered part of the United Kingdom. Sealand has a legitimate government, a steady population, it's own currency, passports, stamps, a flag, a national anthem, and everything else that legitimate countries have. It has all the properties of a country, so why isn't it seen as one? Your signature and your signature alone can change this and make history.
