The federal government has perpetrated an injustice on the American citizenry. A plant with beneficial medical properties was placed on Schedule 1 of controlled substances. Since then, a huge bureaucracy has grown around the persecution of those who attempt to avail themselves of those benefits. The DEA has illegally blocked every attempt to reschedule cannabis because much of its budget and its identity as a one of the most influential government agencies extant is wrapped up in this oppression. President Obama owes it to the American public to direct the Attorney General to adjust policy to prevent the illegal actions of the DEA to block attempts to reschedule marijuana. The evidence is undeniable. It does have legitimate medical applications ergo it does not belong on schedule 1.
