Recognize that Refusing to Raise Taxes or Tax Rates is Foolish.

Grover Norquist, himself, has stated that he came up with the slogan and concept of "No New Taxes" when he was 12 years old and riding home on the school bus. It is foolish to believe that a government, budget, and policies should be based on an idea developed by a 12 year old. Therefore, we all, Democrat and Republican, need to recognize that the current budget and deficit crisis requires ALL options to be available, and this includes higher tax rates for the richest Americans. It was America that made their wealth possible; they need to pay their fair share.
