Beards have held high significance for males in numerous cultures for thousands of years. Regulations forbidding the practice of the male cultural art of growing a beard is gender discrimination.
While safety is a major concern, it should not be an excuse to deny a man his right to bear a beard. Modificiations can be done to equipment to enable equal treatment for the male gender.
