Responsible citizens who live with a budget did not create the fiscal mess that we are in today. We all have to live within our means or face the consequences. We are in the situation now because 1. We spend more money than we make. 2. People are rewarded for fiscally irresponsible behaviors. 3. We are making matters worse by not honestly looking for the root cause of the problems.
The solutions to the problems are often worse than the original problems. We should not punish those who work hard and save by taxing them more to bail out those who have not lived within their means.
