Recognize the rights of the states to legalize, regulate and tax the sale of marijuana to consenting adults over the age

Created by A.H. on November 14, 2012

The states of Colorado and Washington have voted overwhelmingly to legalize the sale, possession and use of recreational marijuana for consenting adults over the age of 21. The federal government should allow these states to proceed unhindered with this new legislation. The federal government should also look into enacting similar legislation on the federal level, but until that time the states should be allowed to proceed with the regulation, taxation and legalization of the recreational use of marijuana.
