People of faith view marriage as sacred.
And its my experience this is true for all major groups of people of faith.
In order to ensure same-sex union federal rights & to ensure government does not intrude on religious beliefs, I petition the administration to advocate complete equality for same-sex unions with respect to federal law relating to opposite-sex marriages, while at the same time barring & preventing the use of the words "marriage", "matrimony" etc. from being used to describe same-sex unions. If needed create a new word for all unions of people, both same-sex and opposite sex in order for the federal government to make reference to. I believe this caveat of word selection is needed to prevent legislation that may infringe upon our freedoms of faith and expression of faith.
