From the East Room of the White House on Sunday, May 1st, 2011, President Barack Obama informed the American public that Osama bin Laden was killed by members of Seal Team 6. President Obama called the perfectly orchestrated raid "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al-Qaeda." The Secretary of State declined to comment if Seal Team 6 has received the reward due to confidentiality reasons. The American people do not wish to know the individuals that received the reward, we want to know; however, whether collectively "Seal Team 6" was given the reward from the State Department's Reward for Justice Program. Since we know "Seal Team 6" was responsible, we should know that "Seal Team 6" was rewarded.
