Recognize that Secession of a State is Unconstitutional as ruled by the United States Supreme Court in Texas v White.

Created by T.R. on November 14, 2012

A few citizens signed petitions for their State to secede from the Union.

However, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Texas v. White, 74 U.S. 700 (1869) that the Constitution does not permit States to unilaterally secede from the United States.

The U.S. Supreme Court also ruled that any Legislature from a State in attempts to secede were absolutely null.

Therefore U.S Executive Branch must recognize the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court, and not recognize any attempts of seccession by any State because seccesion is Unconstitutional.

Furthermore any person inciting seccesion is committing an Unconstitutional act in their attempts to break up the Union, and therefore such persons should be Arrested and Indicted for Treason against the United States.
