Recognize September 18th as national Elephant Seal Day bringing awareness to both species, the northern elephant seal and the southern elephant seal, both were hunted to the brink of extinction by the end of the 19th century, but numbers have since recovered. We shall not forget the mistakes of our past and need a day of awareness and education. It is recommended that no one get out of bed on this day as they would be living the same life style as the majestic sloth like beast. Territorial barking and biting is only to be practiced if you’re in to that sort of thing.
