Somaliland was under British rule from 1886 to 1940s.After WW2 British shifted Somaliland as Protect nation with some faction of governance, but and decade later granted Province administrational. However, due to the wide brotherhood feeling in that time, Somalilanders preferred to make union with Southerners who were under Italian control and decided to form a union nation in which later known as Republic of Somalia. After civil war, Somaliland was successful transitioned themselves from clan rule to law role and peaceful democratic process. Therefore, we asking White House and to the United State government to Recognize the sovereignty of Somaliland so they can be best nation friendly with USA. Thanks.
