Every year Americans throughout the United States come together to cheer on two of football's greatest teams in the Super Bowl. However many are not able to celebrate with their families and friends because of work obligations. By having Super Bowl Sunday recognized as a federal holiday, those that work on Super Bowl Sunday would be properly compensated for their time and for having to miss the Super Bowl.
