Recent reports have risen from the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that Army officials have classified some victims injuries as "workplace violence," while initially labeling them as "combat related." This change strips away potential benefits and potential military honors, including the Purple Heart. With this petition, I hope the Obama administration will take this under review and recognize these veterans deserve they're entitlements for their sacrifices.
