Dianne Feinstein recently threatened video games with government regulation of content, claiming videogames play "a very negative role for young people..." going on to imply that congress will have to step in with regulatory legislation.
Any day a US Senator will stand before a crowd of citizens and advocate for governmental censorship of protected speech, of artistic works, is a sad day.
She said that "the industry ought to take note" but the industry has taken note. According to the FTC, "Unchanged from 2010, 13 percent of underage teenage shoppers were able to buy M-rated video games – the highest level of compliance among the industries."
The video game industry self regulates FAR better then the movie industry or the music industry.
Mr. President tell us you do not favor censorship
