recognize the violence in Juarez as an issue of human rights, not just cartel violence

Created by J.G. on October 03, 2011

We ask the Obama Administration issue a statement on the ongoing violence in Juarez, Mexico that since 2006, led homicide experts to claim the city as the most dangerous in the world, violence that has claimed the lives of countless innocents, including children, women and the elderly, violence that is no longer cartel-on-cartel, and violence that the documented human rights abuses by Mexican troops and law enforcement only exacerbates. In the neighboring border city of El Paso, Texas, refugees, particularly children and youth, seek asylum because their loved ones have become casualties of this crisis. It is evident that us border residents are one people, in a war we never wanted, and that thus, what happens in Juarez affects El Paso.
