The U.S. is meddling with a choice that the people of Crimea have overwhelmingly voted in favor of. Punitive sanctions against Russia will do nothing more than to continue to erode America's relationship with the Russians. Crimea wants to be part of Russia and our actions against Russia will only help to create a greater potential for civil war in Ukraine. With America supposedly war weary, why are we ignoring the democratic choice of the Crimean people? Does the U.S. only promote democratic choice when it suits American interests? It sure looks that way.
