Let's face it- this site is a failure. The unfortunate fact is that, although this website is a good idea, it is rather poor in execution.
This is the internet. It seems the Obama administration may not be very net-savvy- the internet is where fringe beliefs, trolls, controversies (manufactured or legiti), and angry people live in droves, shouting madly. This site is basic wish fulfillment disguised as actual affected change- people simply petition for what they want without caring if the gov. can really help.
Joke petitions like deporting Justin Bieber receive actual responses and petitions like forcing companies to label GMOs (even though there is no scientific data to link GMOs with any kind of health defects) prove that maybe we don't have apt intelligence to petition properly.
