In August of 2014 ISIS helped by local Sunni collaborators carried out a genocide of the Yazidi people and other minorities in the region. We the people call on the administration to recognize this atrocity as a genocide so that dignity can be paid to the victims and survivors. Also, recognizing this as a genocide would allow legal and political actions to be taken against perpetrators.
