Recommend an "Assault Weapons Ban" and "Universal Background Checks" to Syria to prevent violence and killing.

As responsible citizens of the United States we would like to see our leaders recommend members of the Syrian Ba'ath Party and Rebels alike to band together and seek legislation to ban "Assault Weapons" and "Large Capacity Ammuntion Magazines." Also a "Universal Background Check" system should be recommended in the interest of shortening the current Civil War and violent unrest in that country.
