SERVSAFE is a way of making sure that America's Restaurant workers are properly trained in food safety. Restaurants commonly employ people with little or no formal food safety training. These untrained food service workers can unknowingly transmit deadly Pathogens and other micro organisms into our food supply. This is a important measure because many Americans can become ill or even worse die from food related illness. Simply because a untrained worker mishandled their food. Also it will force many migrant workers to train enabling the Government to locate the employers who hire illegals. The health and safety of the American people are worth the effort.
