Currently as long as these flights continue. It brings us back closer to a new Cold War. The SR-71 program has and still is the most successful spy plane program to date. It also proved American air superiority to other countries. It was so successful that not one aircraft had been ever shot down in it's 34 years of service. It provided intelligence that no satellite could offer. But also with today's technologies improvements The SR-71 could offer much needed Intel that current methods have caused a serous lack in. But also it will create a possible Nuclear deterrent.
