Reconnect the Government of the United States with the realities faced by the People of the United States

Since the disgusting display of a shutdown, we now have the right to somber silence as we are straddled with the perpetual fear of losing all that we have worked so very hard for and for so long. Government by the few for the benefit of the few is not what this country is about. It is not what we were taught and it is not what we should believe. The ideals of this country will forever be difficult to achieve. However, it is the mere attempt at these distant goals that make us a distinguished Nation. These should not be hijacked by the closed minded nor be debated by the short sighted. Our ideals should never be framed by a "Bi-Partisan" conclave of the delusional. I propose that every leader in our government should have their assets and pay tied directly to the health of the economy.
