Reconsider bill S.967 in the Senate to ensure justice for sexually-assaulted male military service members.

In the Pentagon's most recent report on sexual assault in the military it was revealed that over half of our nation's military-sexual-assault victims are men. It was also estimated that 38 men in this nation's military are sexually assaulted each and every day.
Sadly, these men risk facing great retaliation by their superiors (who are oftentimes their abusers) if they report their assaults. This bill, presented by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, would help take the decision-making about which cases go to trial out of the chain of command, because those can be the very people who have the power to perpetuate the problem.
If this legislation were to become law, soldiers would have better protection from retaliation if they reported a sexual assault, thus creating a better America for everyone.
