The core values of the American people demand that our nation take a stand in support of the Tamil population that is in consonance with our core values of fairness, equality, justice and self-determination. The current US policy is designed to promote relations with the Indian government and ignores our moral values and our traditional support for those who suffer at the hands of the powerful.
