In order to reduce our dependence on Middle Eastern suppliers of oil, it only makes sense to reconsider the disapproval of building the Keystone Pipeline. It makes no sense to continue being held hostage to the Middle Eastern countries whims and endless price gouging on oil. This would also give us time to develop alternate sources of energy such as wind, solar and the shale oil and gas deposits in our own country.
Recent articles indicate that new methods of processing the tar sands in Canada and reclaiming the land are more efficient and very effective.
