Please reconsider setting guidelines for misdemeanor convictions to not affect a persons entire working life! I understand much of this is set at the state level, but it is unfair! If someone is convicted of a misdemeanor 10 years, 20 years, or even 30 years ago, it is not fair for them to be punished their entire lives. In my state, a misdemeanor conviction currently means that will stay on an individuals record until age 70 or 3 years after death! I'm not saying that they should not be punished for a time period depending on their crimes, but to be punished for life for a one time misdemeanor conviction is both cruel and unusual! There are many people in this country that are being held back because they made a mistake once in their lives. They deserve a second chance!!
