In light of the recent tragedy in Aurora Colorado, and Sandy Hook elementary school, many people have been advocating gun rights. When asked to describe why they support the ownership of such guns, they have stated that "It's fun to shoot them" or "Because that's what this country was founded on" or even more pressing "Because I can."
When one's right to have a material object is your rebuttal to laws that protect others' right to live, there is a fundamental problem in the way that people have begun to think.
This would not be a law to punish people, but to protect people.
So I propose this: I feel that the Obama Administration, and all parts of government should reconsider laws that pertain to rifles that were created not for civilian use, but developed and intended for military use.
