Reconsider the Military Justice Improvement Act.

Created by M.A. on June 03, 2014

For our final project at school, we are working to find a solution to the question: What can be done to reduce sexual assaults against women in the military?
As a part of our project's long-term action plan, we are making this petition requesting that the Military Justice Improvement Act be reconsidered. We want to make sure that the military has the ability to control the problem as it happens and also after it happens. We feel that the Military Justice Improvement Act would give confidence to the victims who want to report their assaults, but are afraid of retaliation from their superior officers. We feel that by giving the decision to prosecute to the unbiased professionals, it will actually stop some rapists in the chain of command from sexually assaulting others.
