Reconsider the new "Blended Retirement Plan" and keep the 20 year pension for the military.

Created by J.H. on January 24, 2016

Under the new "Blended Retirement Plan" the military will no longer recieve a pension at 20 years of service. This goes into affect starting December of 2018. Those who are already in the service will still recieve their pension at 20 years but it will be reduced from 50% to 40% and from +2.5% yearly to 2.0% yearly after 20 years. Those people who enter into military service after 2018 will not have the option of a life long pension after 20 years of service. The only compensation these people will recieve will be a matching contribution to their military TSP (401k) up to 5%.

All this to save the DOD money. Sign this petition and let congress know you are against taking away our militarys retirement. If anything they need to keep the 20 year pension and add the matching TSP contribution.
