The Affordable Care Act initially had a public option that was overwhelmingly supported by the US populace, however it was bargained away during negotiations between both parties. The purpose of this petition is to illustrate the necessary reconsideration and resurrection of a popular portion of the bill so that people may be guaranteed life in order to enjoy liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Healthcare is a human right everyone should be entitled to and whose necessity should not be incentivized by private companies for the sake of profit.
