Reconsider sanctions on South Sudan Rebel's Sudan People Liberation Army Commander, Major General Peter Gadet Yak

Imposition of sanction on General Peter Gadet Yak is unfair and unjustified because he was only acting in a self-defense of South Sudanese and reacting to killings of over 10,000 innocent civilians carried out by government forces loyal to South Sudan President Salva Kiir, in Juba 15-18.12.2013.The decision does not address the root causes of the conflict and short to address the lost of lives and destruction when self-defense is US unlawful. If US wants to play a vital role to bring peace in South Sudan, it must identified the root cause. The root cause was and still the government. Impose grave sanction on Salva Kiir and Paul Malong Awan who recruited 15,000 Dinka youths to carried out Nuer ethnic cleansing conducted on door-to-door search from 15-18.12.2013 Juba.
