Reconsider the use of E15 (15% Ethanol fuel) nationwide...E10 is already doing enough damage to small equipment as is...

Created by D.F. on August 10, 2013

As a man who has personal experience with the destructive effects in E10 fuel, I strongly oppose the move to E15. E10 is wreaking havoc to the internal mechanisms of almost all small (lawn) equipment on the market today. The alcohol is drying out and destroying fuel lines, carburetors, and anything with a rubber seal. In addition, the equipment is running hotter than ever before, resulting in premature wear of critical engine parts.

Collectively, the signers of this petition want the administration to revert back to E10 at minimum and would prefer that we reduce the ethanol content even further. The environmental and economic impact of using E15 will be a wash, if not hurtful, in the long run due to factors that we simply do not believe the administration cares to address.
