Johnson Space Center has been NASA's center for human space flight training, research and flight control for almost 50 years. The majority of that time has seen workers and community in Houston supporting the entire life span of the Space Shuttle fleet. The families here recognize every accomplishment, and deeply feel every sacrifice. We believe Administrator Bolden's decision to award the Space Shuttle Enterprise to New York was a mistake. New York is a great city, but one without a connection or appreciation (http://nyti.ms/vedIis), and now without commitment to their first bid. Reconsider awarding the Space Shuttle Enterprise to Houston. With shuttles in California where they were designed, to Florida where they were flown, one deserves to be in Texas, where they were watched over.
