Reconstitute and modernize the nuclear arsenal of the US.

Rebuild the nuclear arsenal of the US with 2,000 new W-88 nuclear warheads to replace the unreliable W-76 nuclear warheads for the MIRV capable Trident D-5 submarine launched ballistic missiles. This will ensure the US has the capability to ensure effective deterrence and retain an effective first strike capability in the face of a rapidly expanding People's Republic of China nuclear arsenal. Failure to do so will endanger the American people and lead to a nuclear arms race in in the Asia-Pacific region when Japan, South Korea and Taiwan realize that America is willing to let the People’s Republic of China become the world’s leading nuclear power.
