Federal laws against Recreational Cannabis across the United States violates the Pursuit of Happiness and even in some cases prevents religious ceremonies. Scientifically proven, the use of tobacco and alcohol are far more detrimental than cannabis. Similar to a lot of American products such as tobacco, they are used to bring the user pleasure, tranquility, or happiness. Religious people such as Rastafarians use this as a method in which they believe to bring them closer to god when reading the bible. Not to mention, the government can use this to their advantage and would help the American Government's market being the free and capitalist country we are.The taxes on this vast market could be used towards education. in conclusion both the citizens and government could benefit from this.
