Redefine Salary and Benefits for Members of Congress

Created by S.R. on January 09, 2013

Since the intent of Cogress is to represent "we the people" and not be a career:
1. Establish the pay for each Congressperson at the lesser of the average salary of the district(s) they represent or $100,000. (let them live like the people represent)
2. Continue to pay into Social Security as they do now.
3. Contribute to their medical, dental, etc. benifits like their constituents.
4. Increase time served required for pension from 5 yrs. to 10 yrs. for Senate and 12 years for House. Increase age for full pension to 65.
5. Ban gifts and freebies from outside entities and lobbyist's. ( Oh wait, you already did away with lobbyists)

The people representing "We the People" should live like their constituents, otherwise how can they represent us.

Time to look out for the people.
