redefine the term "rich" for purposes of taxation.

Created by J.D. on February 12, 2012

With the upcoming budget and previous statements by this administration on taxation, we believe that the definition of a "rich" family of $250,000 a year is out of touch in todays economic environment . Additionally it is inconsistent with their own definition of a "rich" individual which they claim is $200,000 a year. By past examples of 2 income earners for decades the definition of combined income has always been twice that of the individual. i.e in this case it should be $400,000 per family per year. By lowering it to $250,000 they are unduly penalizing the 2 income professional families (who already pay lions share of taxes)and may even be unconsitutional by past precedents on taxation. We would petition that the definition of "rich" families as $400,000 or greater per year.
